I have all the mods in my sig and am not going to do a pulley. the headers go on next week. I'm just wondering if I should go for the mrev2 after all that. I know it doesn't give much peak hp but I've heard it gives you more low end and mid range which is what I'm looking for. AAM said the reflash would adjust fine to the headers. Do you guys think it would be ok with the mrev as well?

i don't think cams are really considered a bolt on, at leasat not to me. That constitutes internal engine work to me. And I'm sticking with the high flow cats rather than test pipes. my car is a 287 motor.
Also AAM told me that I would be fine to get headers after the reflash because they set a target air fuel ratio. "I think it would have been in there best interest to tell me that i needed another reflash after the headers

I said that it would be in their interest to tell me that i needed another reflash, which would imply me paying for it again. i cerainly don't think they're going to do it again for free. unless someone from AAM is listening and wants some good publicity

lol ive been reaserching this subject for a while now..here goes..
if you have a revup engine then by all means go with the mrev2 and spacer you will see good gains from this mod (if you do a mrev2 search you can find plenty of dyno charts on this) however, if you have the non revup, you are better off choosing one or the other (you already have the spacer, so...) if money is not an option then get both, but the gains wont be as much as on a non revup engine + and your engine might run too lean so you need to have your A/F ratio adjusted (because you are running other mods like your exhaust and headers)
i just ordered a mrev2 for my '04...on a non revup VQ the spacer adds more hp on the upper end...the mrev2 provides for more midrange... hope this helped

yeah thats what i figured. But I don't think I will be too lean as I already had a tune which richened it up a little bit to compensate for everything except the headers and mrev2. So I'm thinking it should be ok and maybe running just a tad on the lean side, and I'll just go ahead and get a utec in the next few months and let sharif tune it.

yeah I think everyones down on the fact that it doesn't give that much of a peak hp increase. From what i understand it adds to the whole powerband and makes acceleration smoother.

headers, hfc, exh, intake, mrev, reflash, pulley, r all the bolt ons. the only thing left to do after all the bolt ons, u have 2 chocies, u can either put some cams, OR u can try and free up some power, ie cf parts, lighten the car up, clutch/fly

^ yeah, if you lighten up your car it'll make a big difference to the added power. i've lightened up my car a bit after some bolt on's and i already can feel the weight difference. good luck!

actually it won't really save much because of all the resin and crap they use.
your stock hood is aluminum so it's already light.
spare and tools plus floor mats is like 40-50 lbs.
best way to drop weight is in the WHEELS...that's where you'll feel it the most. Get some light 17's, they don't even have to be forged.

At the bottom, there is a post that tells you the weight of practically EVERYTHING on the car

I went a cheaper alternative to Volks, etc... and got me some OEM Track wheels. A lot lighter than the stock Touring wheels and looks a lot better IMO.
