Default test pipe ?....again

I have been on here for like over an hour. A few qestions. 1. Not many people talk about a whistle when constantly accelerating with test pipes, is this normal. 2nd, is there a fee if i get caught with these test pipes in super restrictive california . Lastly, i have only driven the car for like 10 miles so far and have crused it and opened it up. I dont have foulers on the pipes and no cel yet, is it bound to come on? Again, sorry if there is already info on this i just could not go on to the 20th page, my eyes are starting to hurt.
Thanks

rasp is normal with test pipes

yes, you will be fined a great deal of money if you are caught with test pipes installed as the removal of the catalytic convertors is not only against CARB, but all Federal Law.

You will most likely get a CEL. It doesnt always come on right away.

So somebody could in theory go to a Federal Pen for a freakin' exhaust mod?

LOL set the drug dealers free and make room for the dudes with test pipes.

AFAIK, the fine for removing OEM cats is like $10000 unless they were originally ruined through use.

Test pipes make all sorts of strange noises.

The SES is finicky. It might be OK this week, but come ON the next. A good time to install non-foulers is when you install the test pipes.

Test pipes and California rules are best answered in the regional forum.
