Ok, so I recently installed a Plenum Spacer and new AAM (K&N) air intake. Now my car makes a LOUD sucking sound when I accelerate. Before I installed these things my car made the same sound but only when I first depressed the gas.

The sound is like that of a supercharger whistle when putting on gas. Is this normal for the items installed? I know I am sucking more air, but I am worried that maybe the plenum spacers gasket is not seated properly or something. It was a PITA, for me, to do cause of the bending to my already decreped back so i really don't want to open it up again unless I have to.

 

Sounds normal to me.

Yeah. I got a similar sound with my Popcharger.

More air coming in = louder sucking sound. Its a good thing.

 

you'd know something was up if your idle became very lumpy or the car stalled out

sounds like you're good to go

ahaha. sure is normal. I got that sound with all my intake-equipped cars.
