project 2007 Cold Air
Just thought I would let everyone know that as of today, the project for my cold air "twintakes" as I call it, has begun. I worked for a company for a few months designing and building turbo kits for mazdas. When I bought this car, my old boss from that shop immediately told me he wants to build a few parts for it. So anyway, today he took one of my stock air boxes and had a machine shop make the housings for the maf. I am going to hawaii from may 4-11 and he will have my car then to prototype the intake. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up and wish me luck!
Also, the prototype is going to be stainless steel, but once he produces them, it should be aluminum.

Oem intake system is a cold air intake, other's have tried but failed to bring about real MAF read temp drops (most we have seen was -10) vs the oem system. Make sure to leave room to insulate the metal tubbing since it will be a heat sponge (as read at the MAF) when the car is in traffic.
I really doubt you see see any benefit to this.. as Sharif@forged pulled the air filters out completely on a 2007 and saw no HP increase.. so I'm seriously doubting any benefit to going through the trouble of making a CAI
But..all the power to you?
