After sitting in my garage for 2+ months patiently waiting for good weather to install, the Fast Intentions Intimidator finally went on. Thanks to Tony at FI for an excellent product. Thanks to Alan and Ken at Foreign Auto Excellence in Frederick for the shop time and install.
Ken did the install with me helping here and there in less than 3 hours, taking our time. Taking factory parts off first took longer than the mounting. The fit of the Intimidator was so good that the install took very little time and effort. The instructions were clear with all accessories included.
My stock exhaust hung ~1/6" lower on the driver's side than the passenger side from the factory. The Intimidator hung exactly the same way. It has been adjusted once and looks good. I will eventually fix it and make it perfect. It looks awesome nonetheless. The polished stainless steel and workmanship is beautiful.
The sound is 'VQ', just stronger, meaner. There is some drone between 2500-3200RPM. It has lessened the more I drive; maybe breaking in as other owners have noted. I highly recommend you check out the clips on Fast Intentions' site, or some of the other installs. At idle and slow cruising, the exhaust is subtly stronger. Open her up and it roars.
Initially, I worried that the Intimidator may be too loud. I have been by Frederick sheriffs, Montgomery and Howard police, and Maryland State troopers - none have even given me a second look. Knock on wood!
Here are some pics for your enjoyment. Looking at before and after, it is like night and day.

Thanks for the kind words! I find myself staring at the polished stainless tips and mufflers daily - kinda sad but true. The sound is getting better the more I drive my Z. The Intimidator is definitely breaking in. I will let you guys know how it sounds in the coming weeks.
Based on some of the other install threads, I think some washers on the passenger side hanger will do to make the alignment perfect. The hangers are very solid and may be too difficult to bend with precision.
I get a lot of people checking out my rear now.

Have you had anyone send you some sound clips with a Greddy TT yet?? If not, I will get you some.. The sound is pretty sick bro.. I am extremely happy with it.. Also, I changed out the X pipe before the TT install and the old one was FUBAR.. I dont know what happened but I am running richer now than before for obvious reasons and it seems to be fine now.. The TT install gave it a totally new sound..

Gotta love Fast Intentions. Hell of a company with amazing products. I love my HFC and exhaust system from FI. Tony and the guys at FI always put the customer first. If youre in the market for an exhaust system or HFC/TP's, dont look past FI!
