not on an '05. You may need to tweak the piping a little to line them up. When i put in my HFC's it didnt line up right so i had to bend the exhaust piping slightly and crank on the bolts. PITA but i got it done. If it isn't even close to lining up, maybe a defect, or not correctly installed?

1) do you have OE cats?
2) What yr is your car?
3) Not sure about Megan headers, but do they make JDM headers, and could you have gotten those on accident?
4) What's causing them not to line up?
5) Did you accidentally switch the left and right cats?

How could you have a problem bolting the header to the catalytic converter? Is the catalytic converter mounted with some sort of support brace?

Maybe he means, either the y-pipe side of the cat lines up, or the header-side of the cat lines up, but not both.

In that case, one or more of your parts is a piece of **** that shouldn't have passed quality control.

We finally got it lined up and the car sounds great. The problem side was the passenger side. I read that the Nismo headers have the same problem and that you just got to play around with it. The work was done at the dealer since they were replacing my motor. Next comes the test pipes. Thank you for all your input.

Could you elaborate on the "fix" ? Did you have to bend metal? Is there some kind of stress on any of your bolts now?
