Ive been using Eagle 1 wadding. It works good the first time. Ive heard if you wax it stuff doesn't stick that well and comes off easier, but so far the wadding has worked wonders on even the nastiest exhaust.

You are talking about cleaning the outside of the exhaust Im assuming ... right?? Or do you guys actually clean the build-up on the inside off the tips ???? Might be a stupid question .. Ive never cleaned the inside of my HKS tips before tho.
