Upgrading exhaust on Automatic Z's..
someone mentioned being worried about the motor falling apart after
50k miles-if it is well maintained and not driven like a demolition derby car
it should hold up fine-i have 30k miles on my 06 5at and have done about
10 auto-x events, 2 track days, and 3 drag strip days and punish it daily
and it still runs fine-i still average 22mpg and best was 425 miles to one tank
with 1/2 gallon of fuel left in it-i have fuji exhaust and y-pipe, popcharger
and motordyne plenum spacer-with more mods to come(hfc's, headers,
computer upgrade)

i guess it must be my driving patterns that help with the mpg-i commute
41 miles one way to Orlando when i drive the Z to work, when my wife
drives it is 25 miles to her work one way-it is mostly hwy to my work
and backroads to hers-we both raise hEll driving it day to day and
usually get around 400 miles to a tank-if i don't drive the Z i drive my truck
or one of my bikes
