So I was looking at the K&N air intakes ....
So I was looking at the K&N air intakes and I see they make 3 intake kits for the Z. (2) are all metal and produce 10.1 Hp at 6800 Rpm and the other is a plastic short hose style that produces 10.67 Hp at 5500hp. Although it not much to lookat wouldn't my Z be alittle fatser with the plastic version on short runs (redlight to redlight) then the metal ones?
Yes, the tube on this one is plastic.......

.......but, the box that surrounds the filter is metal, like other K&N ones.
It's just a glorified JWT Popcharger that costs 3x the price. Seems like it'd be worse having the filter surrounded by an all-metal box, instead of of a 1-sided metal heat shield like the JWT has.

I had this intake, and I can warn you not to get it. The air opening in the front of the filter is blocked so it sucks in hot air.
Get a 06' airbox with a aftmarket drop in like K&N or blitz.
