I thought I had read an artice somewhere that stated that if you put an aftermarket high flow exhaust and a cold air intake you might see some oil loss due to there not being as much backpressure in the motor. From what I think the oil gets deverted into the intake plenum area.
Anyone else hear about this?
I thought I read it in Nissan Sport Magazine regarding a different motor.

When I had my consumption testing going on, I removed the PC'er and put the stock intake back on for the testing.
It still drank oil at an average of 1 quart every 1,000 miles.
I did however always have the Nismo catback on.
I heard somewhere that test pipes cause or can cause oil consumtion. Don't know if there is any truth to that or not.
