Default Can compared to Pop Charger

I'm new to Zs and have always been use to the regular K&N intake filters and piping. I was mind blown to see the JWT filters size. Just wanted to post a picture to show people who may not have the filter or looking to buy this. Compared to a can of RC it's a monster!

JWT Pop charger compared to a coke can.

Mine is bigger lol, just had to, BTW I really recommend this company, they are local to us and their filters do a much better job than the K&N does. The filter in my hand is a replacement for the pop charger.

How much longer is it than the pop charger? Can you still hear the sound from the air when you rev?

I think it is about 1.5-3.0" I actually have both but have never measured them, I have used this filter twice in a Stillen box. It is not as loud as the other filters because it actually filters better, I would say it is just slightly lower and maybe a lower pitch in sound as well.
R2C said that the filter still flows the same and that is why they made it bigger. They are reusable you just have to blow them out from the inside using compressed air, more importantly its a dry filter so no MAF issues.

Interesting. How's the sound and power gain?

Sound is slightly lower/deeper than the pop charger, not as loud I think, but I have only replaced the Stillen which is similar but no top feed. Power I'm going to say there is no difference from the pop charger filter, I got this because I want the sound of a intake but not the terrible filtering capabilities of an oiled filter. The company also sells 2 intakes but I have never bothered getting them as they are expensive and we all know there is not a lot to be gained with intakes on these cars.

I like the pop charger because of it's largre ram air cone, which is great for a short ram set up because it catches inlet air a lot better. The aluminum heat shield is a nice addition too to significantly reduce the potential of sucking in heat radiated from the motor. Get the popcharger with the aluminum "Z Tube" Intake pipe on z1motorsports.com. It gives you less restriction compared to the oem intake pipe and also looks bad *** with it! I went with the chrome pipe w/ blue z1 couplers

Not to get into a debate of which intake is better, but I've never used the pop charger and never will. What I can tell you is that my previous car which had either a stock intake or Stillen with R2C filter would sh*t on cars that had more mods than mine (pop charger included) this was on the dyno. My car had 5-10 whp more than the closest DE which had 2-3 more power mods than I did.

MAF sensors do not like being covered in oil, plus I have the V2 ram scoop that almost forces the engine to pull air from the grille area.

Default 350z topspeed exhaust

I was looking online for exhausts and I came across the Topspeed n1 style exhaust. I love the sound from the videos that I have seen. But then I came across this that look like the motordyne exhaust. Does any one have any input on this one?http://m.ebay.com/itm/231436586876?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%253A80%252Frover%252F1%252F711-117182-37290-0%252F2%253Fmtid%253D1588%2526kwid%253D1%2526crlp%253D53601919689_324272%2526itemid%253D231436586876%2526targetid%253D87946137369%2526rpc%253D0.13%2526rpc_upld_id%253D47802%2526rlsatarget%253D%2526device%253Dm%2526mpre%253Dhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.com%25252Fitm%25252Flike%25252F231436586876%25253Flpid%25253D82%252526chn%25253Dps%2526adtype%253Dpla%2526gclid%253DCjwKEAjwvPepBRCoqo37teOD1XsSJAC7v6WQEr5Ej5i3SWQfNKRMAsLLOR0LaTfXVXDJoxrAm_03iBoC-ZDw_wcB%2526srcrot%253D711-117182-37290-0%2526rvr_id%253D821814015644&ul_ref=http%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%3A80%2Frover%2F1%2F711-117182-37290-0%2F2%3Fmtid%3D1588%26kwid%3D1%26crlp%3D53601919689_324272%26itemid%3D231436586876%26targetid%3D87946137369%26rpc%3D0.13%26rpc_upld_id%3D47802%26rlsatarget%3D%26device%3Dm%26mpre%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fitm%252Flike%252F231436586876%253Flpid%253D82%2526chn%253Dps%26adtype%3Dpla%26gclid%3DCjwKEAjwvPepBRCoqo37teOD1XsSJAC7v6WQEr5Ej5i3SWQfNKRMAsLLOR0LaTfXVXDJoxrAm_03iBoC-ZDw_wcB%26srcrot%3D711-117182-37290-0%26rvr_id%3D821814015644&_mwBanner=1

I had a bad experience with DC sport headers back in 07, I had to get them rewelded and grinded because the pipe/bracket wasnt flush and had a crappy weld on it. I am looking at Borla headers, Has anyone had trouble with installation? I wont get PPE because I read people have had trouble having them fit. Also I cant find any vendors that supply crawford headers or I would have gotten those.

(IDC about hp/sound, looking for aftermarket reliability)

Default Suggestions for exhaust

Bought my car like this not too long ago the stock exhaust was cut about 2 feet from rear bumper. It sounds pretty good now but I want a muffler & the exhausts tips. What is the cheapest thing I could do? I'm in college & really on a budget..

Look in the classified section on the forum, you should be able to find a good exhaust for a good price.

Default Exhaust ?

Hey everyone. I've had an account for awhile but never post. Anyways, I'm looking to get some good sound for my Z, I don't really care about performance. Something that sounds nice, deep and raspy while idling and kind of loud when accelerating. A buddy of mine said a muffler and tips will be fine. Any recommendations on what to get? Not trying to spend too much money, but will invest in quality. Thanks for the help!!
