I've got a Tomei Ti Y pipe back portion that I'll gladly sell, it's definitely a nice exhaust but damn is it outrageously loud...even with my ART pipes, XZY + resonator. Mine is deep, but I'd go back to the TDXv2...better overall sound and allows for conversations in the car (if you're into that kind of thing).
Ok so first off im new to the forums, Just got my 06 350z about 3 weeks ago. Anyways, Ive looked into CAIs and everyone seems to say that a Plenum spacer is far better for your money and performance.(Im still going to buy a CAI but after a spacer) I know everything that the Plenum spacer does, Ive looked into them for hours trust me. They probably get talked about a lot on this site but I cant find the answer to my exact questions. (Ive looked all over this site and google and I cant find the answers.) So this is not my first stop. Ive done my research, dont chew me out over this or do its your time not mine.
So! Im not getting the 1/2 spacer because I like the power at lower RPMs which the 5/16 spacer gives. So I have 3 options, standard 5/16 spacer, Iso Thermal spacer, and copper spacer. The copper spacer im not going to get because everyone says its only for cold weather and im in CA so thats not needed. That leaves me to the standard or the Iso Thermal, so my first question is. Does the Iso Thermal really make that big of a difference with heat, to make it worth the extra $30-$50? or is the standard spacer work perfectly fine? They say the iso thermal will keep the upper and lower plenum cooler and prevent the throttle body from locking up in the colder weather. So is it really worth that extra money? or is it just a way to get people to pay that extra money? Thats my first question.
Question 2, so far the only place I know where to buy a Plenum spacer is motordyne.com, and ebay or amazon. So should I go straight through Motordyne? I dont like ordering from Ebay or Amazon. Does anyone have any other sites to buy one? is Motordyne overpriced?
Last question, whats everyones favorite online website to buy there Z car parts?
I know ill get chewed out for this but I couldnt find the answer to the first 2 questions anywhere. So thank you to anyone who helps out or has personal experience!

People say that an intake like Injen doesn't do anything for our cars well it does increase the airflow in high rpms compared to the stock air box. Does kill low end torque by a little tho. Motordyne exhaust FTW. Not even close.

Quietest cat-back exhaust
Long story short, after 8 new england winters the OEM exhaust system has rusted enough that in order to fix the exhaust leak, about $1800 will be needed to replace it at a stealership.
For those who want to know, the driver side flex pipe went, however the flanges(which are made of plain steel) have pretty much rotted thru. So, its not only the flex pipe, but the rear pipe, which would be cheaper then $1800, but... I've already had to patch the rear pipe to muffler connection as THAT had already rotted thru in march IIRC. So total its the flex, rear pipe and muffler plus 3 hours labor given who knows what bolts are rusted.
At that point I decided on maybe an aftermarket exhaust will probably be cheaper, however I won't be installing it.
So now I'm looking for a cheap quiet cat-back system. So any suggestions would be appreciated.

the loudest of the loud - full headerback straight pipes, catless downpipes, and no mufflers 3.5 inch exhaust dual.
buy momentum dual catback system
momentum catless y pipe.
z1motorsports.com
i think someone is selling their dual momentum catback system on this forum right now also.

I know there is a reason they are never for sale. I feel that might be cause people like them too much and partially the cost. But mostly the 1st
