Default Test Pipes Install

Ok, so me and my buddies have a predicament. At the moment, we're installing test pipes on a z and are stuck. Mind you, we have very limited tools (no breaker bar, just a few sockets, screw drivers, and wrenches). The problem is, one of the studs that connect the header to the test pipe won't come off. WE KNOW THAT WE SHOULDN'T HAVE STARTED THIS WITHOUT PROPER TOOLS, BUT IT'S TOO LATE TO CHANGE THAT. What can we do as of now?

ANY suggestion(s) will help... we're freakin desperate and it's 1 in the morning. Oh, and everything is closed.

Thanks,
Mark.

why wouldnt it? as long as they mate up and you can bolt them together you are good. this isnt rocket science. not everything has to be the perfect size and fit.

Just keep at it. You'll get it. WD-40 and a little bit of under-car-gymnastics should get it.

That is actually normal. I've done three test pipe installs and one stud per manifold always stays on.

Not a problem

But to the OP, don't panic... reuse the stud and bolt and use the ones supplied and you should be good to go.

UMMMMMM HOLD ON!

1 stud is backwards than the others. The driver side cat has 1 stud that is fed from the bottom and not from the header. This bolt has to be loosen from the top. You will need 3 extensions and a flex joint from the top to loosen this stud since the nut is on top. If this is not the bolt we are talking about then ignore everything I said.

One of the studs in the OEM catalytic converter is not removable.

I'm taking about the manifold, not the cat.
