I cant wait to hear how it sounds. I'm very tempted to go all Nismo, even if the gains are not as good as other companys. Mostly doing it for the 'because' factor. But i'll probably get 'the itch' and buy a supercharger or turbo and ruin the 'only Nismo' idea.

I'm more interested in the S-AFC II controller. I had a V-AFC on my Type R, but it really didn't do anything for my car except make it look more techy. Will it be a good investment or should I just get an ECU?

How much louder would you say it is compared to the stock exhaust? Does it have the same tone?

SAFC would help, but an ECU would be even better. I would get the SAFC if you are looking to get performance fast instead of waiting for a programmer/ECU combo.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the stock Z exhaust has the same type of piping.

I'm glad it looks so stock, that's exactly what I've been waiting for. I only hope it's more free flowing than stock or else you're just buying the Nismo name. Either way, it's nice. Someone needs to post some hp and tq gains pronto...

Default Question for Eric@Bavaria

How did you wire in the SAFC-II? I believe i have most of the wires figured out. The only one i'm in question about is the Tach wire. There appears to be no engine speed wire on the ECM. If i have to tap into the wire at the tach, i will, but i'd rather get it off the ECM, like all the other ones.

If you guys at Bavaria have installed one of these on a 350Z, could you please post which wires from the SAFC-II go to which wires on the ECM? Thanks.

Default for Eric@Bavaria on the SAFC-II

Okay, nevermind the wiring.....i got it figured out....but instructions, do you have an english version of the User's Manual??.....if so, can you post it here?.....A'pexi says it will be a month until english instructions are posted on the internet.....You could generate a lot of sales if the good people of my350z.com knew that they wouldn't have to learn japanese, or wait a month for the instructions.....c'mon, whaddayasay?

I noticed that on some of the threads regarding other exhausts, there was concern about the lack of any airflow controls.

It looks like the NISMO exhaust is in the same boat, in that it does not have any fairings on it to control the airflow under the car.

Am I seeing that correct, and can I therefore assume that the fairings on the stock exhaust give only minor benefits to the vehilce's performance?

What do you guys think?

Default yoooooooooohooooooooooooo

paging Eric@Bavaria...

So how about posting some impressions ? You have been asked a lot of questions -- and no answers.

How about the sound ? Even with living in Japan, I have not heard or seen the NISMO setup -- and am dying to find out since I want to stick with a NISMO setup except for my wheels.

thanks...
