Default test pipes on stock exhaust

i've searched but couldnt find what i was looking for.
does anyone have test pipes or high flow cats on the stock exhaust.
i like how it sounds stock and i just think it would be nicer if the sound can get a little louder. some info from people who have that setup or sound clip would be great.
thanks.

i just wish there was someone in my area with that setup so i can hear it.
Also, everytime i hear a FX truck pass by or a g35c it seems like their exhaust is lounder. Is it me or are they really louder?

I had test pipes on stock exhaust. It sounded a little louder than stock. Then I added headers and it all sounded like raspy garbage. I kept the headers and sold the TPs.

I had TPs on the stock exhaust for a while. It sounds pretty much stock when driving normal and pretty mean at WOT. It does rasp but what people don't seem to understand is it sounds a lot different in the car than outside. I had a friend that rode with me and complained about the rasp and hated the way it sounded. Then he hears it outside at WOT and pulled a 180.

Blah, rasp is overrated.

i have DC Sport headers and Helix TP's on the Nismo. I used to be stock.

It was a helluva lot louder than stock, especially at full throttle. i do have rasp right around 3100-3500 RPM, but it sounds way better than stock. changing to nismo shaped the sound a little bit and took off some of the rasp.

But, its kind of nice. under civil driving conditions my car sounds like a normal z with nismo but louder. once i rev higher, the car SCREAMS. its unlike any other car out there that ive heard, but im sure someone has done this before. I think you should go headers first, then TPs IMO

I love the stock sound too. I'm thinking of going with high-flow cats, not test pipes, and Nismo exhaust.

I have stock exhaust and resonated test pipes. I love the sound. I get compliments all the time. Its basically the same sound as stock only amplified. Do it, youll enjoy it.

Another clip from my dyno... In the car is sounds raspy from 2.5-3k but other than that... music to my ears. I don't hear the rasp outside of the car.

Rasp on a Z isn't the same as rasp on a Civic .

I have 2.5" test pipes on an otherwise stock exhaust and I love the way it sounds, inside and out.

Agree. Why not start at the beginning of the exhaust instead of the middle.

+10000000

It just sounds like an aplified stock exaust, it does rasp a tiny bit inside the car butits not horrible. Outside of the car you dont get any of it. IMO it sounds pretty good. I ran like that for about 5 months. I kinda miss it.
