Blah, rasp is overrated.

I like the sound of TP's on the stock exhaust.

yes, it rasps a little between 3.25K-4K but it doesn't bother me. It otherwise sounds really good.

Get the kinetic resonated test pipes, they are awsome. i had then a long time ago, and they made my stock exhaust sound so much better with out the rasp.

So what do you guys reccomend? I want to keep the stock exhaust sound but make it louder. Would the best way be to go with resonated test pipes or put in high flow cats? (best as in, it makes the exhaust sound louder with the minimal amount of rasp). Im not too knowledgable when it comes to this so if i do decide to get test pipes/high flow cats, is that all i need to buy? And just bring the car along with the parts to have the shop install them?

Another clip from my dyno... In the car is sounds raspy from 2.5-3k but other than that... music to my ears. I don't hear the rasp outside of the car.

I have aps TP's on stock exhaust and I like the exhaust sound (particularly with the windows down because I can't hear the rasp for some reason that way). the only thing that I don't car fore is the really annoying rattling noise.

I'm thinking about goin with the nismo system. how does the rasp sound on your setup. does the actual rasp sound different? does it drone really bad when your goin say 60 down the highway in 6th gear. is it so loud that you can't hardly hold a conversation? will it set off car alarms and draw the attention of every law enforcment officer that you come within 3 car lengths of during normal driving? thanks

:shrugs: Rasp sounds the same to me, it just changed RPM ranges. Its a LOT louder than stock, especially at WOT. I don't have any problem with law enforcement but normally I shift at 2.5k which it stays pretty quiet then. I was setting off car alarms with just the stock exhaust when I was in a parking garage so its hard to judge. Noise on the interstate isn't bad at all and a little bit louder than stock IMO. The higher the speed the louder it gets but even at 80, you can hold a conversation without yelling. At 60, it barely louder than stock.

the more I hear about people that have this or similar setups the more I convince myself that I will like this setup. the power to be noticed at the drop of the accelerator, yet livable at the same time. the more I think about it the more I want to try it. thanks for all the input man.
