Dang Skip, same thing happened to me like 3 times over when I was racing down there at the dirt oval track in Greenbo, Alabamma. Dang carberators always blowing up sky high. If only them VQ-son-of-aguns were... what do you call that... you know all those fancy JAP cars are.... fuel injecter-something-ur-another... gotta get me one of them doo-hickies before the next race
Clearly this guy has no clue

of course it's true - The actual shuttle they launched never landed - the lack of air in space caused the rocket's carburater to blow wide open and they couldn't stop! Crashed right into the darkside of the moon I say.
My cousins work at Nasa, they told me all about it
Besides, thats a photochop. The shadow of the flag isn't there... or maybe it's the shadow going in the wrong direction to all the other shadows! Don't be fooled by the man, man!!!

Welll the Flagg is waving.....in space there is no air so the flag would be like PAper or something
To the OP: what your mechanic says would be somewhat true with a carburetor (except for the car flying down the road thing
), which has no direct way of changing the jet size other than manual adjustment. So colder air in a carbureted car will make you run a bit leaner.
Luckily we have EFI cars with MAF sensors and variable pulse width injectors. So colder air is better and your ECU compensates.
That said, most of the CAI's for the 350z suck ***, with the exception of the stock airbox and the stillen intake

" Ever heard of 18 wheelers losing control of there trucks, cant slow down?? Well same with your car, if you were to put a cold air intake in your car, the filter & valve are bigger than your factory one, there is such thing as not enough air & too much air, this would let to much air enter your intake, causing the carberator to blow wide open & you wouldnt be able to stop your car, even if you turned your car off, it would still be flying down the road!" ... Ok.... seeing how I already ordered an intake... and this guy is talking ****.. I was pretty pissed off & left.
I've never heard that a cold air intake is bad ... so what the hell??
