Default My DC headers CRACKED!

One side of my Stainless Steel DC Sports Headers cracked, and I need to replace it.

I hate the idea of spending 400-600 bucks for a new pair of DCs. Would it be a horrible idea to replace it with a different (cheaper) brand on just one side?

Any input is much appreciated!

If they did it once, why buy the same thing when you know it can happen again? Go with another brand. There are plenty to choose from.

Why go for cheaper ones? If the DC's broke imagine what cheaper brand will do.

I wanted to particularly see whether or not people thought it would be a bad idea to run DC sports on one side and say, Megan on the other side. After reading a bunch of posts, I was under the impression that it's basically the same design.

were you lucky enough to have the passenger side crack? If so i would just replace it with another DC sport header... if it's the driver side with the hard side then i would swap them with another brand. You can probably do the easier side yourself, but both them... you might want to go turbo.

How many miles on the headers?
Does DC warranty their headers? May be worth a call.

STRUP FTW. Not too expensive, and great quality for the $$$.

My passenger side cracked too. I had it taken out and re welded so that it will never crack there again. I think it was around $250.00 to have it done. DC wanted the heads removed and returned. They would the inspect and replace or whatever. I would have to pay to have them pulled, put my originals back in...and then pay again to put them back in once replaced. $$$$$$$$$$$

I had one welding guru weld for me without removing them for a 6 pack of beer, but he couldn't get around the top, leaving a leak.

One of my megan headers cracked then broke. I knew buying more expensive ones were a joke lol. I had it welded and reinforced there are pics here some where. It cost me 25$ to get it welded.
