I installed an AEM intake yesterday, and today at lunch I took a co-worker out for a quick spin to let him listen to it. Since it doesn't sound any different until you get up over 4.5K rpms, I was accelerating hard in 2nd, doing around 50 in a 45 mph commercial zone. Next thing I know this guy steps off the curb (not in front of the car), flipping me off!!! I mean come on, I didn't go much more than 10 over, and it was a deserted street with no driveways. I havn't heard it from the outside yet, is it really that loud so as to attrach that kind of attention?

 

That used to happen to my in my last car that had loud exhaust. When I drove thru the neighborhood ppl would yell at me to slow down even though I was going to speed limit.
