Default Exhaust Opinions?

Choice 1:

Price - $949

Sound Clip - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Lct5AGSZ0E
The Invidia G200 true dual exhaust for the 350Z features a smooth exhaust path with its dual stainless piping and free flowing mufflers. Made of full SUS304 stainless, features full robotic tig welds and Invidia's famous titanium exhaust tips.

Choice 2:

Price - $999

Sound Clip - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWbg657B7zc
Borla's True-Dual catback exhaust system for the 2003+ Nissan 350z features t-304 stainless steel piping, mandrel bends, and all the necessary hardware and hangers for a perfect fit. Twin resonators and a Borla twin-exit muffler will give your Z a throaty tone to show that you mean business, while the true-dual design will give you the highest possible flow. The twin polished Borla tips finish the system off. All Borla systems are backed by a million mile warranty, guaranteeing that this is the only exhaust system you will ever have to buy for your 350z.

Choice 3:

Price - $1150

Sound Clip - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUALsjaempg

STILLEN'S hot new exhaust for the 350Z is the result of months of development and testing. Made of 100% stainless steel, the system features dual pipes and mufflers and a lifetime warranty. It makes the most power of any 350Z system on the market and fits like a glove.
Retested on 9/11/03 in 5th gear dyno runs to add 16 HP at 5600 rpm and 14 Ft/Lbs at 4600 rpm. This is the first and best full cat back system available for the 350Z. The fit, finish, power and mellow tone have to be experienced to be fully appreciated. No other system available can compare!

Want to stay around the $1k range, true dual, with center muffler, not seperate cans. imo dual cans is tacky. Single wall preferred.

Have you considered the HKS true dual Ti? Go to youtube and listen to the various sounds. I found that to be my favorite by far.

borla all the way. i miss mine so much but i needed bigger piping for s/c. best sound exhaust for the Z imho. it doesnt have much of a bling factor so the N/A ballers wont buy it. but when it comes to functionality, sound and price its sweet. dont let the slip design bother you. if properly installed and torqued you will have zero problems with exhaust leaks unlike a lot haters will want you to think.

1. its sounds as close to a V8 rumble as you can out of the Z
2. its has been dyno proven for good gains.
3. its lighter then stock
4. can be had for $800 or less new shipped.
5. i believe borla carries a lifetime warranty.

If your gonna spend a grand, the HKS is a great exhaust I love it, but also you need to look at if you are planning to go FI.

Nice organized thread. Your 3 exhaust choices are similar, yet slightly different (dual, 2 tips, same price range).

I don't think you can really go too wrong with any of those, but I'd try to find some sound clips by searching (youtube, this site, etc) if you can.

By the way all the manufacturer's dynos are junk... don't believe anything they say.

Interesting that you selected 3 cat backs that are essentially the same design: all have single mufflers mounted parallel with the rear axle.

Borlas design is prone to exhaust leaks over time, especially if you have to remove/reinstall more than once.
