It really depends on if you want to use your strut bar or not. I would recommend using the 5/16th Iso Thermal spacer if you want to use your strut bar.
We carry them as well, just shoot me a PM if you have any more questions

the most common is the 5/16" version since it's the cheapest and the bigger ones offer comparable gains. With your 06, which is a rev-up motor, might want to look into the MREV2+spacers combo.

^search is your friend!
google "motordyne".. Then grab a coffee and start reading, you wont be disappointed.
Remember to get the MREV2 + 5/16th spacer combo, you wont regret it.
You could also PM hydrazine for more info, hes a very helpful person.
Also you have many forum sponsors who sell this product, I purchased from partshipperdave.
Cheers,

If you have a 06 manual transmission Z you have a REVUP engine. In this case definetly get the MREV2 with the spacer.
It costs more than just a spacer but the combination also makes much better gains.
If for example you could only afford one or the other (spacer or MREV2) then get the MREV2. It will make a minimum of 15HP in the midrange. You can always add the spacer later for better top end performance.
But don't start with just a spacer only. A spacer (by itself) on a stock REVUP lower collector doesn't do anything. The spacer must be used on a non-REVUP engine or a MREV2 for it to work... So if you can only do just one, do the MREV2. It will still make good gains. Add the spacer later. Its easy to add on too.

In all cases, the plenum mod gains have always been the same as long as the engine has adequate fuel.
And typically you won't need any kind of engine management or reflash untill you add a lot of mods.
A plenum mod, pop charger and exhaust should be just fine. When you add test pipes to it, you may or may not begin to run lean. (it varies)
If you then add headers to the intake, plenum, exhaust and test pipes you are more likely to start running lean. After the addition of all of these mods the next phase of modification is the ECU. This is done with either engine management piggy back or a reflash.

now what if i get the mrev2 and a new plenum. i'm desperate for hp and none of the mods i've gotten seem to do anything but make the car louder
after installing both i'll need a new strut bar right? which one will give me enough space?

You can see the Import Tuner dyno test results of the MREV2/spacer in the dyno section of our website. It always does at least 15HP 18TQ in the upper midrange. In many cases it does 20HP 30TQ. Results typically vary within this range.
You can always use a plenum on the MREV2 as well, but in any case you have to start with the MREV2 for any of the spacers or plenum mods to work on a REVUP engine.
