Installed my AEM (polished) CAI today. The install took a little over an hour to complete. I followed the supplied instructions (with pictures) and the installation went perfect. Everything you need is supplied. You don’t have to take off the front cover or jack up the car. The only thing that I did extra was to put a foam pad on the frame where the air pipe was close. I was worried that it might rub.
The engine sounds better and I could tell the difference right away when I took short but fast test ride on the freeway. A mod I would recommend. I bought my intake from www.coximport.com for $213.50 which includes shipping.

There are a couple of things to be careful with during the install. When you unclip the wiring harness hold downs, be careful you don’t break the clips. The 2 push pull clips on the under side of the fender well will break if you force them to hard.
I put a pad on the frame where the air tube was real close. Looked like it might rub and rattle. I would do this before final install. It is hard to do after install. Enclosed is a picture.
The instructions are easy to follow. You shouldn’t have any problems.

I will get an intake sometime soon. Alot of people say the AEM is better...I have a hard time believing this because of the location of the air filer on the AEM. The injen has it in an area that gets much more airflow...hmmm
