My '03 base non rev up can only hang with the '07's till 3rd gear, after that they pull away slowly. Get the engine management, throw a 100 shot on there and call it a day. You'll hang with him nose to nose witht he tune, then you hit the button and wave good bye.

NA is gay. Get some boost and laugh when he can't buy a turbo or sc kit.

Well i just ordered about 700$ worth of "looks" parts so i got that lol. And DAMN! CHRIS DISCOVERED MY THREAD! i knew it was only a matter of time! lol well its all good, he knows he is faster, im pretty sure i can keep up once i get my a/f fixed cause those o2 sensors. Really i dont care about being faster or what cause i love the car either way, i just wanted to kno what it would take. He is a good friend and we both are just happy to have our Z's anyways. BTW, im 17... but i did buy the car with all my own money (saved up sorta) and i have been modding it since day 1 lol. I have a cold, its called the mod bug ahha.

Or you can go to the track, buy some used DR's throw them on there
Make sure your launch is Awesome, and let him panic and play catchup on the backend of the track.

I think with your launching good with the DR's you might be able to hang in there long enough to stay out front.

Just a thought

Here is my 05 dyno over lay on a stock 07 dyno

Mine
AEM
headers
5/16 spacer
nismo cat back
mild port and polish

07
stock

This is on a dyno jet same day and same gear 4th mine first on the dyno and his second. The sheet is in MPH and not rpm due to a faulty ignition pick up. You still get the point.

So it all depends on where your car is dyno wise. My old revup engine dynod at 251rwhp DJ and i lost by 2 car lengths to about 100. But see the revups powerband i noticed it more applicable at higher rpms because the more and more we did the roll from higher speeds the more i noticed there was less and less pull. The only thing is the HR makes 80percent of it power by like 7k which is hella nice.
Thats 90% of torque from 2k-7k for your information.

And no, it was 3 lengths and maybe it'd have been more if my shifting wasnt shi**y (since I was such a new driver to 6mt). We stopped about 110...and if I would have been able to enjoy 4th gear longer Im sure with my bigger redline I would have pulled a little mo. There will be a rematch and I will post results

The gears on the 07 are sooo long with the new redline. I'm waiting for my 4.08 ring and pinion. It'll bring the top speed down to 112~114mph in 4th and ~146 in 5th. Should pull and pull quite a bit harder

Looking at that 1 dyno w/ the 07 and the 03 overlayed, it seems they are pretty equal till the 03 has to shift. SO all the number w/ the 07s having higher HP is mostly due to the high redline. If i got my redline bumped up then i would keep pulling also. SO basically what im trying to say, excuse me i just woke up and cant think straight, is that if an 07 didnt rev as high, it would be about equal with that modded 03 on the dyno graph above. IDK, just a thought maybe but it really doesnt look like the have much on the older models until the older models have to shift. but then the older models will just pull in a new gear so its idk lol im still asleep slightly and just realized im rambling.

Your comparison is terrible. Not only is the 03 modded and the 07 is stock, but the 07 just won't let up pulling. It makes more power and has a much more broad powerBAND.

It's real hard for non-07 owners to admit they drive slower cars. LOL

well see buddy, notice after 100 you ran out of gas wonder. why. There not much to shifting if its pinned and your waiting for 4th gear to hit the rev limiter it was 2-3 cars and that was with a bad engine. You dont have a Z now , When you get one well vid it. And no the HR does not continue pulling in ever gear but does puull early on because it does make its power earlier then any other VQ.

Cant wait for the rematch. Hopefully well see how prominate you are from a dig with that amazing open diff.

Also you race without a spare and last time you came u didnt even have your passenger seat. Meanwhile im racing in full interior. So you forgot to add that.

And i dont wanna hear excuses about lack of driving skill when my 265 rears get the hole shot . Do i hear bithlo race way

noones saying there not faster, but the measurement of how much isnt that impressive as some over emphasize. get you car up and runnning pricilla
