It may very well be under the Engine cover ---I dont recall off hand and my plenum is powder coated with no cover.....AND.....I use that port for an in car Boost/Vacuum gage

hm.. i'm so curious now. if the engine wasn't so hot still i'd take off the strut bar and the engine cover to find the stupid port.

Not if the plug is gone...could have easily come off during install and been forgotten...

Possible, but in all due respect, that would be a hell of a vacuum leak. Very noisy, VERY rough Idle. But pays to chk.

Biggest mistake in diagnosis is skipping over the simple stuff and not doing things in order

Yeah sounds like a leak!
Check and make sure the gasket isn't folded on itself anywhere, check and make sure nothing, such as the rubber oil filler cone, is in the way of the plenum, and then make sure all your bolts are torqued down to spec.

Eazzzy to remember and Eazzzzy Money Honey but be best to let it CHILLL....Its there ( the port ) and if its not the culprit, it is handy to use for your vacuum gage ---A VG tells you lots about ur motor, from a leak to a bad valve
