nah hes still alive. I installed the spacer. The car ran like crap for the first day and it settled out. I also installed a nismo cold air intake. The intake was real close to the strut bar but I figured it would be fine. Guess not. The op is now looking to remove the spacer in exchange for the stock set up. So for those of you looking for a spacer hit him up. later mike

Sounds like install didn't go well...no real reason to remove the performance parts...re-install better? Adjust the bar? Reset the ECU?

Nah no spacers op bought it from a g35 (no strut bar). So I might just throw wahsers under the strut bar.

yeah uhh.....i'm not sure how you fit the strut bar back on over the upper plenum without the spacers to begin with. it doesn't fit.

I feel your pain, I did everything myself to avoid friendly errors. Even though I broke a bolt, I was able to put everything back together and now I can't be even more happier. Maybe it's the MAF, I would check if it looks normal, I remember being very cautious with the MAF, since it is so important to the air intake.

Finally,,The car runs freaking sick now... No vibration no anything. It was the strut that was rubbing against the plenum i mean you could actually see the marks on the strut from the grind. ANd again i give mike mad props.. .ANd thanks to all that gave input and help me fix this simple but frickin annoying problem, that sounded like a riced out civic.
