Default Best exhaust set-up/plenum/intake set-up for S/C set-up...

I didn't know how to go about searching for this subject so I am posting this thread.

I am looking to get a Vortech S/C kit installed on my 2005 350Z M6. I am looking for the best set-up to maximize the S/C kit.

Throw me out some ideas if possible.

And once again, I tried the search feature first.

Install the supercharger. Forget trivial bolt-ons.

Try either a Crawford plenum/Kinetix V+/Motordyne spacer for plenum..

Exhaust..

Any true dual would help flow!! Like HKS, Greddy, or X02.. Hope that helps..

from what I gathered on the sticky Vortech thread, just about any breathing mods will yield more power with the Vortech at any given boost amount. I'd do all of the breathing mods except for the exhaust(plenum or plenum spacer, headers, test pipes/hi flo cats), or with a exhaust that looks like stock just to keep a low profile around the police. please go to the FI section of the page and look at the top of the threads, there's a sticky there made specifically for the Vortech kit, you should find most of teh answers to your questions.

OK - so the better the car breathes, with any FI, the more HP you will get.
1/2" spacer, headers, metallic HFC's, 2 1/2" true dual catback.

What you'll notice, is the same HP, or more, with less boost. this is not only cool, and gives you more potential, but less boost is safer as well.

When you get your Vortech - do the 3.12 pulley at the time of install - it will save you hundreds later, and the pulley only costs about $60.

If you really want a great tune - get the tuner kit and get an eManage Ultimate, Utec, etc...
