You can purchase C/F heat shields. They are molded to cover the bumper opening perfectly.

I would definitely just cut the melted portion off and install some cf heat shields. It will look good and save you a lot of money by not buying a new bumper. If you get a new bumper there's no guarentee it won't happen again.

oh i started getting this shortly after I bought the exhaust. I figured because I was running TP's with mine that it caused it to be a lil shorter. I melted a chunk off in the same area and just broke it off. my bumper needed to be replaced anyways. I will be buying a new exhaust when i get a new bumper, probably true duals.

Hmmm, i'm wondering if the gel coating on the c/f heatshields would withstand the heat. Thats just crazy man!!!

yea im in the process of doing all that now. I know mine would look the same as any other successful install would have.. just dont know why mine was the one to melt like that.. It wouldn't have any thing to do with the new engine for the 07 would it?

Darn, I have this still in the box. I'm holding back now to install it? Is the 2007 exhaust piping shorter than the 2006's? I saw some Z's with the TiC and it doesn't tuck in as much as yours.

I installed my nismo exhaust off of my 05 on to my 07 and it sit exactly the same. The tips are in the same spot. So I would have to say no on the exhaust being shorter.

Exhaust tip does not extend past the bumper. The hot gas is blowing right on the bumper - poor design. That tip/muffler needs to lengthened.
