Default Ti-C melting my bumper

so went down to Show Stoppers today picked up a Greddy Ti-C and installed it on my 07... Everything went well installing didn't take to long since the car is really new took it out for the night after that and probably made about 4 different trips around town going a little faster than normal at times and giving it some high revs just to see how the bad boy sounded(sounds real good). Came back home and went behind the car to check it out again and notice that a fat piece of bumper has been melted down and bent in some odd form.. i have no clue what could have happend the install went perfect, from what i have seen by others the tip stood out just fine, I didnt go over any speed bumps or big dips... help me out here has anyone ever seen this and what am i supposed to do now? thanks in advance...

Ah yes looks great!

and then i go to the back and see this!

Im considering this exhaust for my 07 Enth. If this is a common issue -- is there some sort of material that can be used to 'shield' the heat? I'm really set on this exhaust.

Wow... first time to see that. Well, there's a company out there that makes CF heat shields for the exhaust but I forget who it is off hand. Or, you could buy a rear bumper or apron.

when you rev, does the exhaust move around a lot? Make sure it doesn't move as much as those cheap hondas do because that will certainly do damage when you are wide open throttle or just revving.

The end of the exhaust is too short failing to move the exhaust gases away from the rear bumper.

They "can" remold the bumper by reheating the plastic and stretching it back into place. It is a common practice for Toyota's, but it wont solve your problem. I know there aren't too many ways to mount the exhaust on these things, but check your rear exhaust hangers, see if you can tweak them slightly to pull that pipe away from the bumper a half inch or so. That may help you.

wow that looks bad, try adjusting the muffler or tip to see if you can get it out past the bumper so the gases won't collect under the bumper and melt it. good luck
