True exhaust leaks do sound like exhaust leaks, not to mention the coughing from the exhaust fumes in ta car. Exhast leak noise and hacking sounds good to me.

I tried this by just undoing the connection, it sounded nice, especially compared to stock.

I had a rear muffler gutted and attached that, sounded like *** after about 5 minutes, got really bad from there on out, booming etc.
So embarrassed, didn't want to drive the car, to record it or anything, put stock back on.

Its a really bad idea, girls wont like it seems like some high school stuff.
Going to smell and possibly a poison hazard. cheapen the persona of the car.
ladies these days not going for the testosterone trip they want someone who appears financially well off gives a sense of protection. my advice use exhaust
cut-outs and you got both worlds but each person has different taste so good
luck.

It won't smell any different, but it's possible that gasses will be more easily smelled if they exit under the car.

Cheap way out. You'll think it's super cool until someone that's put some time and effort into saving for a legit exhaust pulls up next to you on the road and puts you to shame.

Leave it like is. If you want a more aggressive tone, make it a two fold positive benefit by actually gaining some rwhp...go with test pipes, then eventually swap out the rest of exhaust.

I've had somewhere around 5 different exhaust setups...I've loved them all, but I always had to be very patient and not take some cheap way out!

I tried adding spacers to give a gap and within 20 mins I lost all power to my engine and it would idle very low. I'm not sure what was causing it but I had to put it back together just to make it home. I'd like to know what was causing that because I'm considering a cutout but i don't want the same problem
