flex pipe question
Like it says above i have a question about my flex pipe on my hks exhaust. I really dont want to get slammed for this question because i have looked and even googled the images to try to find what i have. To start, i smelt this burrning smell that i can't describe. It wasn't like the clutch so i looked under the car and on my passanger cat there is this black gunk/goo looking stuff right where the flex pipe starts nearest the engine. I turn the car off and go to wipe it to smell it and by the time i get a napkin and go to wipe what looks to be a drop of something it turns solid and looks like super glue. So, i guess my question is what is this. I have to jack the car up tommrow but will sleep better knowing what it is. Is there somethig in the flex pipe that would leak or is my engine messed up or i hope is it just something i may have hit and now it just burrning off what it is. Thanks for any help or comments.

Yeah, I'm lowered... And parked on top of a plastic cup in the parking lot by accident one day. When I came back out, and drove off I heard this scraping noise WTF. I stopped and looked and that damn cup had melted to my exhaust, stuck, and was dragging.
yea, thanks. I dont know what it is but it not the exhaust, it must be a bag or something but it is on there. I tryed scrubbing it but no luck. But while i was down there i noticed there was a drip of what i am 90 % sure to be oil comming off the (sorry for my terms) round gold thing right below the transmission where the drive shaft connects. I think it the weight but i dont know the name. Is there any reason there should be any oil there cause i really don't want to have to take off the test pipes and go to the dealership to have them say they can't duplicate the problem.
