I want your Opinion. Borla Exhaust or HKS?
Yes I know in the end its my decision, I just am curious to see what is generally more accepted in the Z community.
So...
Im leaning towards Borla purely because I like the sound but HKS sound somewhat good as well and from what ive read in these forums have better performance.
So im here to ask your opinion, Can Borla keep up in the performance department?
N on a more personal note, do you like the sound of the Borla Exhaust?
Ex. Clips
Borla

HKS

O N dont nail me on the whole search aspect, ive read it all. This is just a matter of an up to date opinion.

performance on N/A: performance increase for the most part will be equal among similar configurations, i.e. most true duals will have similar results and most singles will have similar results.
Picking an N/A exhaust should be based on your personal taste in looks and sound as well as your budget.

That Borla clip is my car. I love my Borla exhaust, but it didn't sound like that before the addition of my HFCs. It was rather quiet, almost comparable to stock just deeper. HFCs really made my Borla set up come to life. Much throatier than the clip, overall a big step up on the aggressive tone. Good luck with your decision, you already know which one i would choose.

So it wasnt just a Borla Stock exhaust?
Im not trying to do a whole lot of mods to my exhaust just want to get something that sounds nice n adds some decent HP. Rather keep my money spent elsewhere such as an intake system.

decent hp and intake don't belong in the same sentence

No, it wasn't just the Borla full exhaust. It was a comibination of everything listed below. Each mod changed the sound of the exhaust, for the better thank god. Borla really adapted well to more air flow and didn't rasp up, snarl or pop. When it comes to sound, Borla did a superb job.

Even Injen Track is way better than borla IMO
BUt if you are so concern about the sound i guess borla then.
If you plan on adding to your exhaust system. I say borla, due to the increased sound levels you get once you upgrade other components. If not get whatever your heart desires for sound purposes.
I don't really like either of the exhausts, but the HKS is slightly better built. The borla exhaust sounds a bit better if you can put it together without rattles. It comes in about 17 pieces and is held together by crappy clamps. Borla's welds also look horrible.

On another note: If you're NA... HKS vs. Borla all depends on what sound/look you want on your car. Personally, I like the HKS looks but for the price and performance I chose Borla. Not as exclusive but power gains for each exhaust (1hp vs. 2hp... can you really tell?) is minimal so it doesn't matter. It comes down to personal preference. Good luck!

Random Tech Cats, no complaints, probably 20k+ miles on them
