Short ram = Heat soak.
CAI = restrictive intake resistance.
OEM Box with dropin = Gold.
'06 OEM box has a velocity stack = Even better.

You'll notice most of the tuners/builders in Japan retain the stock air box... I wonder why?

I would probably do more research before posting....but thats just me

Nismo doesnt even make half the crap they sell.....they simply rebadge it FYI

The CAI which you cited is made by AEM....search AEM CAI and see what owners have to say about their real world dyno numbers/driving experiences

I dont know if they do NOTHING because most people agree the popcharger is good for 4-5whp not HUGE gains but a little.....and for 110 and the sound...not a bad deal IMO

But 250-300 for maybe the same gain....many folks just skip it if they know better or grab a drop in

So you go right on ahead and trust what those manufacturers are telling you and ignore what owners have experienced.

I bet you would enjoy the performance gains from this http://www.turbonator.com/

After all, the owner says you can get 20-35 extra horsepower from it. They wouldn't stretch the truth, now would they?

Thanks for the tip on the Turbonator, I meet the best people on this forum. Thanks again...

ReallY I don't believe every word the manufacturers print, believe it or not. I expected that I picked up about 3 more HP with the NISMO cai, if I was after a big HP gain I would spend $$$$ for FI

That has to be the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

Well, I have a buddy that dyno'd with the Nismo CAI and Pop Charger on the same day... the Nismo did not win.

thats alot of money to drop on an intake... alot of money...

blow off valves dont make a hiss noise, more like a sneeze. i think if thats what i wanted, i would just get one of these off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-TUR...spagenameZWDVW

good thinking

if its expensive it must be the best . so im assuming since thats your philosophy, your windshield washer resevoir is filled only with evian water, you only pump 100 octance gas into your tank, your tires are filled with nitrogen, and you are running some sort of expensive synthetic oil which you had to put in yourself seeing as how no oil change locations carried that oil

you get what you pay for, but theres also alot of people that make alot of money off of people who dont research and just go by what they are told

personally, i wouldnt think that the manufacturers of "the best intake for our cars" would have just figured out that there is unused air between the filter and the engine. thats common sense to me, so i dont know whats special about this air filter that utilizes that air, not like any other air filters get rid of that air in the intake runner and start all over...

and yes, the manufacturers description states that they have found a way to utilize the air between the filter and the engine... that seems like pretty elementary information. if it was the best, i would expect it to od something revolutionary, not just store air in the runner. but thats just my oppinion on it.

now if you need me, ill be the guy at advanced auto parts buying a K&N filter, saving $500, with the same performance increase, and ill probably be just as happy
