So an E5 (cook), with almost 20 years in the Navy makes enough dough (oops, a pun) to be able to afford only the best? Must be nice. I guess the rest of us po'folks will lumber through life, knowing you have damned us to Pep-Boys...

Must be tough to make rate nowadays... I made E5 within 5 years of enlistment (some alot sooner than that even) back in the late 80's.

 

An E5 with 20 years in is basically a waste of space unless its a reservist weekend warrior type guy who sits in a rank for YEARS lol....you hit E4 by at least your 3 or 4th year in...he made E5 and sat there for 15 years....sounds like he got busted down for being moron or never had the sense to get promoted....either of which doesnt lend itself too well to being a good thing

Any enlisted guy claiming he only buys the "best" for his first import is a jackass....you work for uncle sam and make less than 6 figures...loaded you are not
