Default What y-pipe for amuse exhaust?

Ok, so as the title states, I am looking to pair my soon arriving amuse exhaust with a y-pipe (can't fo the amuse one, since I already have hfcs).

The problem is, I have found some conflicting information on the piping diameter of the amuse exhaust (60mm? 63mm? 76mm? 90mm?). Anyone with an Amuse exhaust who would be so kind to state the actual piping diameter of the b-pipe, it would be greatly appreciated!

Basically, first and foremost, I want to be sure the piping diameter of the y-pipe is exactly the same as the amuse, so they will match up perfectly without air turbulence issues. After that, I guess it's quality and sound that I'm primarily concerned about. Thx for ur input!

Top Secret's Y pipe might be discontinued soon, as most companies are claiming that Titanium just costs too much to use. We have requested more information, but as far as pricing goes, it will be given only after they actually make the Y pipe.

I will see if I can get you the pipe diameter for the amuse y pipe though.

isnt 93mm 3''?? If it isnt, oops. Maybe I'm thinking 75mm. Regardless, 2.36 inch inlet, 3'' outlet. It'll reduce any unwanted turbulence. I was a non-believer in this until i switched Y pipes and it made ab ig difference in sound and clarity and it was even quieter (a tad)!

I had an Amuse R1 exhaust and just used my OEM y-pipe. Worked fine with my Vortech setup. You can use the Top Secret Y-pipe which is said to be suited for the Amuse R1. Or you can always buy the Amuse y-pipe. Which is pretty over priced but a hella nice y-pipe.

i owned the aam y pipe and from looking at the design, it has to be one of the best flowing ypipes out there.

I went with Tanabe combo when i had the Amuse R1 + Test pipes. It was definitely louder than the Full Amuse Setup (see pic below) but without the Testpipes it was really mellow and it has a nice deep tone.

Yes, i played around with different combinations when i had the Amuse R1. Sorry, I never took any vids or sound clips before i sold it.

Amuse R1 + Stock Ypipe + Testpipes = Loud and High Pitch Sound above 4k rpm
Amuse R1 + Tanabe Ypipe + Stock Cats = Mellow and Deep Tone but very aggressive on Higher rpms, with Testpipes it's obnoxiously Louder than my 1st setup.

Amuse R1 + Amuse R1000 Ypipe w/ integrated Testpipes = If you can get rid of that rattling noise coming for the R1000 which i did, it's my fave setup + Very noticeable Power gains from my ButtDyno.

hmmm I wonder if my nismo headers, power enterprise 400 cell metallic cats, tanabe y pipe, amuse r1 Titan exhaust will be super loud?

Did u smell unburnt gas fumes with the amuse front pipe? That's my main concern with the integrated test pipes; that and then having to sell my $1k+ or cats...

Yes but it didn't bothered me that much, actually the smell wasn't that bad at all imo.

Only irritating part on R1000 is the rattling noise that comes from the ypipe and midpipe with only 2 titanium springs keeping them together (see pic above). It rattles like a **** and took awhile for me to figure it out how to get rid of the rattling sound.

Im currently using Amuse with Nismo Y and UR HFC ( other mod being motordyne spacer and revup with Arc Intake). Sound wise i like it alot compared with the Amuse + stock Y and cat. Its louder then Amuse with stock Y and HFC and also has a deeper sound at low rpm and once it gets over 4K it starts to scream. I just blew my engine so i cant get some clips but ill try to get on my friends comp to see if i have some clips of it on the track.

I bought a Nismo Y-pipe because the exit diameter is 76.3 mm, which is the same diamater as the Amuse inlet. I didn't notice any noise change (or power increase) at all.
