Default A Simple Exhaust Question!!!!!!!!

https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/318369-i-want-my-exhaust-to-sound-like-the-350z-on-tokyo-drift.html

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Thanks for the help guys Isnt there a bashing rule??? I was asking a simple question and trying to use an example and one example EVERYONE would know would be the 350z on tokyo drift, i dont want to rice my car out, i was making it easier for YOU jerks to understand the exhaust note i was looking for. so by what im reading, all the people that wrote in this thread dont have ANY type of exhaust CORRECT??? what a shame.... i thank those who tried helping but i think im better off in another forum, maybe others can take me more seriously...and hasnt anyone herd of exageration, i said iv been waiting what it seemed to be 45 days because i wanted so much to ask questions about the 350z because i just got one.

now that i vented because i couldnt before because they closed my last thread in like 10 minutes, i wanna ask one more time....

WHAT EXHAUST SYSTEM HAS THE LOUDEST DEEPEST EXHAUST NOTE WITH LITTLE RASP/CRACKLING JUST LIKE THE BLK 350Z on TD???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KnQOO980_s
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
i found the perfect exhaust for me finally!!! i just need help as to the exact model, i know its the injen ses dual but isnt there different series??? like the 1985c or the 1986c??? can someone clearify this for me please??

subjective. and it depends if you are running stock cats, HFCs, test pipes, headers, cams, etc.

and really... please refrain from using F&F as a reference for anything expect a joke

AND there is already a compendium of exhuast sound clips on this site you can browse through and get an idea.

Bro Listen. I joined like last week. And got flammed for every thread I made in my first 2 days. It's all good. You learn what annoys people on here and what dsn't. As far as I know. For what sumone said about the exhaust clips. I went to listen to them yesterday. And your lucky if HALF of them still work. WE NEED to UPDATE the exhaust clips plz. Especially you 07-08 Z owners. And there are new exhausts out that you don't even see on the list.

As for you sir lol. Skunk2 on hondas I know is incredibly loud but might be ricey. Don't know for sure how much the sound is different on 350's.. The borla on here I think it is.. Might be Magnaflow. Srry I got it mixed up. It sound amazing. I think it sounds amazing. Deeeeep. Muscle car kinda. Dunno how loud tho. I mean you can't judge fully on sound clips. Evo2 exhausts I know are very loud. Take a shot.

same boat i can't believe that other thread was 5 pages long, i just posted a couple of threads the other day trying to figure out what exhaust i wanted, i've finally decided on the greddy evo 2 maybe with the test pipes maybe not, depends on how loud it will be by its self which i have heard is not very but here's a clip i found that i think personally sounds great on a g35, not a z but close enough
doesn't sound like the td black z but it sounds good just a bit too loud for me with the test pipes
if you have the chance to hear the exhaust in person the better because as im sure almost everyone here will say vids don't do it justice

Save for a year, buy a turbo kit, then do exhaust. Thats the closest way to match the sound, And for your own good, please refrain from using a reference to F&F on these boards. It will save you from alot of butt hurting.

I don't know if it's terribly loud, but I've heard alot of good thngs bout the tanabe hyper medallion. I'm thinking of picking one of those up along with a stillen y-pipe. My suggestion would be to find some meets, just because it's impossible to get a true impression just from video clips, since theyre all recorded differently. If you don't have many modded Z's in ur area (like me), then just find something you like, click the buy button and pray to god it's as good as you hope. I'm sure you could always resell and repeat the process until you find something you like ...depending on how much money you have haha.

well check out this link:

http://cars.ign.com/articles/711/711326p1.html

:Nestled away under that VeilSide carbon fiber hood sits a twin turbocharged 3.5 liter V6. Australian tuning company APS provided the full twin turbo set up, while American company Magnaflow provided the twin exhausts. According to the peeps at Universal, this engine set up is good for about 460 horsepower at the rear wheels."

Says, the black Z (DK's car) had a magnaflow twin exhaust.

You have to remember:
1. It was a movie--It is unlikely that you're not gonna get that exact sound in real life
2. It's not just the exhaust that gives the exhaust its "note", as other have said other mods factor into the sound of the exhaust note as well (headers/tp's/cats/engine work etc.)

WAAAIIT. Tanabe makes an exhaust for the 350?? I was on their site before and didn't see it. Or maybe cuz I was lookin at the new ones they make. I love tanabe exhausts. Deep and not raspy at all.

its just how it is bro...your gonna get flamed when your a noob to this forum because you dont know how to utilize the forum as well as others. a lot of the old school forum guys know how to use the search funtion, know where to look, and so they opt to bash ppl for stupid threads when the answers can be easily found on the forum.

its just how it works..
