ummm...yea...don't forget - IT'S A TURBO CAR!!! Unless you get turbo's as well - you wont get the same sound...

umm...yea again...movies have SOUND EDITORS...

As Motormouth said, your question is way too subjective. Choosing an exhaust note isn't an easy task and you need to realize that. There are literally thousands of possible headers, HFCs, Y-pipe, and muffler combinations based on all the kits on the market. You can listen to all the exhaust clips you want but those setups may not even sound the same in real life.

Bottom line is, don't sweat it. Listen to exhaust clips online (while keeping the above caveat in mind) but a much better idea is to go to your locals meets and listen to various setups in person to get an idea of what you like. If you like the tone of a full cat-back system but want the pitch a little lowered, various types of HFCs and headers can accomplish that. At meets, ask members about their FULL setup from the exhaust manifold back, not just the type of exhaust they are running.

I must be missing something here . . . why would anyone bash or flame anyone unless they are completely out of line? We all either have, or love the 350z. Thats a common bond. That alone should be enough for noobs to get answers to questions or help and advice. I have been reading this forum and can see that there is a definite difference in this forum, and for instance corvetteforum. I was considering a Vette, but reality struck and I can afford a Z, so thats what I got. I think it has something to do with the fact Z owners seem to be 16-35 years old, Vette owners 35+. The maturity, or lack thereof shows up in the forums for these cars.

I am sure the flames will come now....flame away. I will reserve my actual questions about the car for later.

Aww how touching. Its not maturity, it just gets to be a pain in the *** when people are always asking the same dumb questions every day that can be answered with 10 seconds or less or searching.

Then again, Im sure you dont have people on Corvette forums asking about how to make there car sound like the one from Fast and the Furious.

Thats a damn good point. Don't recall seeing that thread.

Speaking of that, wish Nissan made an exhaust similar to whats available on the 08 Vette, the dual mode. So many Nissans have dual mode mufflers, but I think they work via exhaust pressure. It would be sweet to have a similar option on the 350.
