Hey guys, how much louder are test pipes than HFC or stock cats?

Yes they are louder. There is no way to judge HOW much louder but they are, it's personal.

I love them, they are not annoying unless youre a *****.

Drone, again, depends on what you consider it to be, and your exhaust.

im thinking of picking up the greddy evo2 and helix tp combo from one of the vendors.
well is the drone like a loud *** humming nose in the cabin while crusing at highway speeds?

 

with stock exhaust, it was sooo quiet inside the car. Wasn't loud outside either. No drone, no rattling, no nothing. ON my nismo, made the nismo exhaust sound like complete crap. It sounds good at WOT but daily driving, the rasp was really bad. I heard on here that non resonating test pipes on the greddy doesn't sound so good. Someoen said building an x pipe or something like that. i can't seem to find the thread for you.

 

I read the thread about the x-pipe, but i don't feel like going through the trouble of making one.

 

My setup is pretty loud. I was surpriced how much louder my F.I exhaust became when I paired it with the Fast Intentions Resonated Test Pipes.

What I love about them is I virtually have no rasp. The smell of test pipes is very annoying though. I have not gotten use to it yet.

I also need to worry about emmisions & cops here unlike other states.

I have Helix V2 TP's with my Greddy Ti-c it's pretty loud, a little raspy not too bad though it growls at WOT though
