Has anyone ported and polished their lower intake collector?
Has anyone ported and polished their lower intake collector? If so how and what did you do? Is it worth it? any dyno number or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
If its any signifigance I have an 04 6sp.

I tried it a while back and didn't find it to be worth the effort.
It made a 4HP blip about 500 RPM wide. This isn't anything really tangible but at least it did have one nice attribute. It put the blip right at the peak of the power curve.
It would be a little usefull for a dyno queen application, but it won't do anything usefull for driving or racing.
Its a lot of work polishing the runners too.

Neither.
Its a recontouring of the runner inlets. The pictures shown on our website are not an actual MREV2.
I tried all the port and polish stuff on the lower collector. It wasn't enough to justify all the effort.
We did testing on Rickdogg's Z. He posted the pre/post dyno plots of it a little over a year ago.

Smooth surfaces are not always the best for flow.
