He hasn't logged on since the 21st. I'm waiting on his response as well as the pics from App6MT of the plenum that he received.

Edit: I've also received the pics from Tony and a detailed description of the specific design differences of his plenum.

You got it!

Merry Christmas!

I'll send it to Julian and he'll have it ready for you.

---------

I also got a PM from TreeZ. He would like to do it too. He already bought his MREV2 a couple weeks ago so I offered to pay for his pre/post dynos.

---------

That's two separate and independant dynos from MY350Z.com.
Plus the one that will be published in Modified Magazine shortly.

It can't get any better than this.

Will do...We will do it as legit as possible and show whether or not the MREV mods do in fact make power.
Then perhaps Dyno tune/Rebillri can send one of his knock offs for a side by side comparo on the same car.

AWESOME. Just let me know when you want me to be there, details, Tony, I will pm you later on exactly what you want me to do, or if anything, let mrc know, and I will be there and pay for whatever.

any comparison b/t a regular non-revup manifold on a revup motor vs. a MREV2 ? I've tried to find something like that for a long while. just a suggestion.

There are several independant dynos of exactly that posted.

Two on a REVUP engine. Search.

One on a non-REVUP engine. By Wired24/7. Its the last dyno plot posted in the dyno section of the Motordyne website.

That sounds good. I been dying to actually see the before after dynos on a revup motor specifcally with both spacers 5/16 and 1/2 independant along with the mrev 2.

IF your guy doesnt work out hydra i can also be a canidate for ya if nessesary just in case. My dyno will probably be done at performance facotry (i would have to schedule of course ). But it looks like you already have MRC .
My mods are just metallic Hiflow cats. But im also eagerly awaiting the revup indepe results. Especally a 1/2 spacer mrev2 dyno jet dyno vrs stock revup setup . THanks

since we dont see many revup indepe dynos on a stock or near stock revup, i always wanted to see if both setups from ya actually provide more power then a stock revup setup or actually just move the curve or something of that sort that was brought up in a previous thread. Of course i have no doubt it will make power since you reputation and tests are great. But there always has never been a clear revup before after dyno with both setups to say here is excatly the the diffrence between a stock revup and a motordyne revup with A) setup and b) setup over a stock unit. At least on a dyno graph that we all can relate to from a reputable shop.

I never doubted the product at all hydra etc has always provided some great info and advice and if he ever comes our with his exhaust this century lol jk i will def get that aswell lol . But it doesnt hurt to actaully see a in depth graph of the difference on a revup same day both spacers mrev2 vrs stock revup from a shop like mrc with has a great rep.

Here they are:

Looks like I got the real polished MREV2, at least from what I can tell.

RBlover69,

Comparing the 1/2" spacer to the 5/16" spacer on the MREV2 is a different subject...

As demonstrated on the non-revup engine, the 5/16" makes a higher average than the 1/2" spacer.
As demonstrated on the REVUP with a MREV, the 5/16" makes a higher average than the 1/2" spacer.
As demonstrated on the REVUP with a MREV+, the 5/16" makes a higher average than the 1/2" spacer.
It would be unreasonalble to expect a different result on the MREV2.

The difference between the 1/2" and 5/16" spacer is due to plenum internal volume and not just clearance above the runners. To a point, a lower internal volume increases the average area under the curve. A higher internal volume increases peak power at high RPM's. Overall, the 5/16" spacer is better optimum.

If you would like to compare the 5/16" spacer to the 1/2" spacer on a MREV2 please do. But for everyone else with a NA 350Z, I generally don't recommend the 1/2" spacer due to the strut bar being removed and the higher average power occuring with a 5/16" spacer.

Im sure if you test it, the difference between 5/16" and 1/2" will be small. And you will lose your strut bar with the 1/2" spacer.

Not worth it in my opinion.

Yes. That is the one from the blue towel. A genuine MREV2 with the addition of the polishing.

So did he really send this one to you like he originally stated? Something about a 5HP "blip"? Which I mean, "blip" could mean 5HP loss...

Well I feel glad I could at least help out in this situation. I'm more glad that I wasn't affected by it.

Hopefully city can get some resolution out of this.

Hey App from your pics I would suggest investing in a oil catch can.

You will see a difference without all that oil contaminating your combustion.

I was one of the few earlier Rev-up members that posted before/after dyno's for Hydrazine when he first released the MREV+ w/ 5/16th spacer.
I couldn't be happier.

Yeah I honestly was surprised with how much oil there was to be honest with you. I did the spacer and the MREV at around 30k miles and I don't recall it having that much blowby oil in it at all.

New project time!

that's good that we've narrowed it down at this point to just one "false" or misleading MREV2 it seems. no others have been confirmed correct since this one is actually the real deal.

Sorry Civic, no, it is not.

On many other occasions fakes were posted for sale as MREV2's. Even if they werent sold, the ad in it of itself is false advertising and misleading.

Do you know how many of them were fakes vs real? (many were listed as "Sold")
Do you know how many were sold off line? Or in a covert fashion like Rebels response to Citymunkys WTB ad?

Rebel needs to answer many questions.

(See the attached picture below) This was one of the last "for sale" pictures Rebel posted. This was listed long after App6MT and shortly after Citymunky. Rebel advertised this as being a "MREV2" and it is a fake.
Every "for sale" post with fake pictures is a fraudulent ad. If it was sold it also constitutes a scam.

It's a real disappointment to see a board member and sponsor doing this.
