Don't flame me.....Just a thought........ BUT....... Nismo has spent a TON of money on R&D. Maybe their cam set is high priced but there are 4 of them. My LS1's cost $500 for one. Just make sure that when the time comes that the research has been done and tested and you don't end up being the tester. Perhaps Comp Cams or some other big name will see the value in these cars and come to the rescue. I have all my calls in to get you guys the spec's, HP rating and ECU programing requirements if any. I'll post back as soon as I hear anything.

That's really not expensive at all to be honest. I thought it was gonna be over 2 grand.

I don't think NISMO will have the best cams, but don't they preserve the warranty? That's important to some people.

Well the S stuff is covered under factory warranty. But the R stuff, IE, cams-headers are not. Your on your own. Now if you put in headers and have an engine failure, that would not void any warranty, but if you had a set of cams and lunched a valve, well that one MIGHT be open to interpetaion by your dealer.

Still trying to get you guys the cam specs, but here's what I have so far. NMC tells me that the camshafts with NO other modifications are good for a true 14hp at the rear wheels. You do not have to reprogram your ecm.

Hrm. Not bad gains and not very bad prices either...
They probably would be more streetable than most other companies cuz they probably won't have such a lumpy idle to it.

Hmm. So can you or can't you "alter" the duration/lift of a cam through the variable program in the Z? Aren't those properties physical in nature? I would think you have to change the cam to change those. So what would changing the ECU do to the cam specs and what would it do in conjunction with new cams. Also, I want a lumpy idle.

You WANT a lumpy idle? Hrm... I quite don't like the too aggressive idles unless it's on a muscle car. I was actually gonna ask if the idle is lumpy with these cams or if they're very subtle.
