I just got done installing it in my 350Z. Haven't had a chance to do a full testing because it is raining hard outside. Hopefully the results are as good as everyone says.

For those of you that have one, is it me or does it look like the only difference between the Mrev2 and the OEM lower collector is that two of the ports are grinded down like a quarter or half inch? http://www.motordyneengineering.com/...llector322.jpg

If so, then wouldn't it be possible to create a Mrev2 yourself?

There is more to it than just grinding things down or porting stuff. Tony spent a lot of time working on them, and there are little things that are the reason it makes great results. Check this thread out:

If you indeed just installed your own MREV2, then you would have know that pic doesn't look anything like a real MREV2. That pic IS a picture of a nonrevup plenum with the front runners ground down, but it isn't a real MREV2, Tony would be retarded if he posted a picture of a real MREV2 on his page.

if you got it directly from Tony, there is quite a bit of difference between them. You just have to look closer and know what your looking at.

The above posters are correct, Tony specifically put a pic of non-revup lower plenum with a minimal amount of machine work on his website to prevent people (like RebelinRI, who has been banned for his actions) from copying his design.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I guess the most noticible difference was the front runners being grinded down. I've been looking at past posts by RebelliniRI and just wanted to make sure that I'm not getting ripped on this mod. I bought directly from Tony, so I guess I don't have anything to worry about.

If you bought it direct you certaintly have the real thing.

There are many details to the streamlining that anybody but a fluid dynamics or aerodynamics engineer may not recognize, but its certaintly there.

Seriously though, just buy the MD product from Tony. The product is top notch and well worth the money. Pick up the latest Modified mage, or do a search on Motordyne and see for yourself-His reputation and work is great. Good gains, great quality, awesome customer support. My guess is if you tried to replicate it at home, even with a real MREV2 as a resource (The pic from the website is not the real MREV2) you would not be able to match the dyno gains that have been shown repeatedly
