Default Resonated TP w/ Stock Exhaust?

Hey guys,
Just thinking out loud (no pun intended) here and seeking advice - -

I do like the sound/look of the Z stock exhaust, definitely doesn't need replacing as much as some others cars do. But I'd like a little extra power (not a ton of course) as well as a little more volume. Cat's change the sound on every car differently, and I know that they add rasp when removed on the Z. But if they are resonated, how would a stock Z sound? A little louder/burlier/deeper hopefully?

Anybody done this? Thanks!

Of course there is that, but it doesn't really address the TP issue as much as HFC. But that was a good start.

Also, I've read that the Y-pipe is the most restrictive part of the factory exhaust (through 06?).. I am in Vancouver, and local to AJ-Racing, so I might pick up their T1R resonated TPs and T1R Y-pipe... I had good luck with their parts on my old S2000 but not much feedback with their parts here. Wonder how that would all sound/feel with stock mufflers...

Is there a question in there which can be answered subjectively, or are we just listening to your 'thinking out loud'? There is a significant difference in loudness when you replace the cats w/ test pipes. BTW, the y-pipe is NOT the most restrictive part of a Z, pre or post '06, it's the cats.

I'm considering to buy the Fast Intentions resonated test pipes for my 07. They sound good with the stock exhaust and Nismo exhaust.

I love my set up. I'm going to try some new mods as well to see how they will sound.

Okay, in the videos posted I see no mention of HFC or test pipes.
In the first link provided, those are not resonated which was my primary Q.

thanks?

^^
What the hell are you talking about? The links I posted referred to the members who have the Nismo exhaust system with resonated test pipes. I even put in paranthesis the brand of resonated test pipes they have.

HFC added to the Nismo exhaust will not sound like the links I posted. From what I've heard, they make it sound different.

I didn't mean to get an attitude to you - - I was looking for stock exhaust. I see the links you posted, and appreciated them. You posted them for the other guy that requested clips with Nismo. Good. I was not directing it to you.
I have no idea what my last post was about.. Musta been in a bad mood.
