No, it shouldn't run funny. The ses light only shows up because you took out your stock cats and put on test pipes. That is the only reason it's tripping the code, and because of your car's emissions. It is nothing really to worry about, you just gotta get use to it. That's when you know your car is pretty fast, when it's tripping codes lol

I have an 03 and my test pipes have been on for about 700 miles with no CEL. I did install non-foulers that i got from the local O'reillys parts store for 4 bucks!! Any auto parts store will have them. They are called spark plug non-foulers if you need to ask someone.

well i just purchased the helix v2 test pipes and i did about 450 miles on them because i drove to boston and back 207 miles each way. Today my CEL turned on and i have a 18mm non foulers which got me confused because it wasn't supposed to turn on. So i just disconnected the negative on the battery waited about 5 min connected to back and CEL light turned off.

So much confusion, so little time... Let's summarize state a few facts for the record:

'03 do not throw CELs. '05 WILL throw CELs; it may take a few driving cycles, but it WILL happen. You can take that to the bank.

You do NOT want to put the 02 sensors on in such a way that they will trap water, such as 'pointing down at the ground'. The moisture and corrosion products in the piping WILL kill your sensors.

There are NO guarantees in life except for death and taxes. For cars susceptible to CELs, the anti-foulers will work MOST of the time, but a CEL will drop in once in a while. There are other alternatives, including longer 02 sensor extensions, and electronic simulators.

The CEL associated with the cat-delete mod does NOT have any effect on how the car runs. It is only a notification that the cat efficiency has been compromised. It will NOT 'make your car run funny'.

AFR is not 14.7:1 at WOT, so that doesn't make sense.

i never said anything about WOT? When the car is fully warmed up the a/f should be 14.7:1 on a n/a car. At WOT i would guess around 12-13:1
