Default What Test Pipes are the best with no CEL???

I already have Resonated test pipes. .that i bought from a customer of mine along with the Borla. .but i have no clue on what brand they are. .but i noticed a slight vibration i think coming from inside the resonated section of the test pipe on my Driver side. . so i was thinking since they are pretty cheap what's a good brand to get. .any ideas. .and i need to know if they DO NOT KICK ON A CEL. . .NJ's Laws have changed and im going to need inspection soon. . .BUT i do my own Inspections. .but i dont wanna C the engine light regardless. .
here's are what mine look like now. . Anyone kno which ones these are?. .so far no CEl and theyve been on least 20K now. ..

well, with test pipes, they are for off road use only, so you will NOT pass inspection. However, if you get some non-foulers and don't have a CEL and they don't look for cats, you should be fine. With an '03, you should be fine with the CEL, I have the Amuse Ti TP and have no CEL on my '03. Also, you will have better luck posting in the exhaust portion of the forum...

Pablo. . i do my own inspections it's more of i dont wanna C the engine light on regardless. . .because an engine light on means the o2's are not sensing proper gases making the car run bad in the long run. .. .

you might not get CEL with any test pipes...since you have an 03. Some of the 03's don't show a CEL with test pipes, but some do.

those things you have look like they might be high flow cats.....
In any case all these questions are answered in the top 100 questions thread.

How do you do your own inspections? Do you work at a garage?

Umm, NO, that is not what it means. First of all, as stated above, the '03s will NOT throw a CEL with test pipes. The '04.5 and later will. However, that would NOT make a car run bad in the long run (or short run), because the only purpose of the after-cat sensors is to monitor cat effectiveness, and will not have any effect on how the car runs.

things read out of a magazine no less. .look. .if the rear o2 sense's the cats not efficient enough to clean the exhaust telling the car that it's possible that the engine is running rich. .therefore the engine will try to correct itself b4 kicking on a p0420 code stating that the cat's bad. ..in other words the car may or may not run bad in the long run. .what do you think the 02's are just for the cats health???. . . 02's are now heated as well. .so that a low voltage stays on with them to work soon as u start. .keeps them hot so the computer doesn't have to wait for a reading. .and if your a cali emissions vehicle you might also have an a/f o2 sensor. .measure's the a/f in the exhaust gases as well. .letting the comp run to it's efficiency. .

You are talking out of your ****. Better quit while you are behind. The ONLY purpose of the rear O2 sensors is exactly what I said. If you would like to redesign our cars, better contact Nissan. In addition to the FSM, they need to rework the ECU.

All of us are born ignorant, but a few decide to stay that way - we now know where you stand. I could post page EC-339 of the FSM, but I'll let other members on this forum have some fun with you first. BTW, is studying English not required for inspectors and emissions techs? Your posts are painful to read.

EDIT: If you SEARCH this board you will find all the answers you seek, w/o resorting to such complicated things as the FSM. Try P0420 or P0430, or cat efficiency, or test pipes even. There are discussions similar to this every time a know-it-all noob stumbles on this topic.
