ebay Test Pipe install...pix
So I decided to grab me some ebay test pipes, I know I know, flame flame flame, ok I got it. They are cheap and look like the rest of them with the same bends.
Anyway, they fit well, havn't put enough miles on em to see a CEL, we will see what happens.

My mechanic telling me this is the best way to install these things hahaha

and anyway, for like $90, you can buy 2-3 sets for the price of some of the others.
I just ordered a similiar set for 84.99 from http://stores.channeladvisor.com/aut...temid=10310186
They look just about identical.
SO how do they sound?? Stock exhaust??

how hard is it to replace test pipes if they do break? Not hard.
how expensive is it to replace test pipes if they break? not expensive.
sounds like a good purchase to me, and they look decent.
Now, if you told me you had installed ebay HEADERS, I'd call you a moron

So I asked a vendor how much for Fast Intentions resonated test pipes for my 07...the price came out to be close to $400 for two pipes.
The only mod I wanted to do were test pipes and even those are expensive now...
They sound great...I'll take a vid later today/tomorrow and post up so stay tuned.
I did not expect any real performance change but the throttle has gotten just a bit more noticeable at response.
1-3krpm's are sorta noticeable, after 3krpm's....hahahaha now we are talking business.
And total price after install: $175 (pipes + shipping + install)
I'm thinking about getting one of the two cheap ebay exhausts...either the x02 replica or the stock lookin replica exhaust w/ 3 inch piping...

Several years ago I got my full exhaust from ebay. Test pipes,y pipe and back. Put it on myself and it sounded good. Only kept the car a couple of years so cant comment on how long it would last but for what I paid it did its job.

They accomplish their task very well. And yes, they weigh a **** ton. I'd guess almost 25-30 lbs each.
The 350Z overall is designed for optimum emissions, not optimum power.
Obviously, just like most cars. Friend was talking about 335 being underpowered today. I was telling him most cars are tuned for emissions and reliability. Thats why you get a reflash on turbo'd cars lol.
Just curious how much weight do you think you save with test pipes? I've been thinking about them since theyre cheaper and probably sound better than HFC's. Just not sure if I wanna look at that dumb check engine light all the time. Also I assume the dealership wont void anything since its just exhaust right?
