Does the Cosworth plenum give any gains for N/A?
Anyone actually installed the Cosworth plenum in a non-turbo VQ35 and done a valid dyno before & after comparison?
I know it's too much money to spend for the amount of gains, I'm just curious.

im not sure if there is anyone who has done it on their NA set-up, simply because its right around 1000 dollars, and you can get the same results for much cheaper with just a spacer.
however, with a FI car, the plenum HAS shown amazing power increases over other plenum choices at 6000 rpm's and beyond...if you go to the FI Forum it is somewhere on the last few pages of unposted material.

Some may like the look of it coupled with the gains, even though similar gains can likely be had on a N/A setup with spacer/Mrev for cheaper.

For N/A, it looks like Mrev/spacer combo, where mid range is gained, and some top end is lost.
For F/I, there seems to be loss in the mid range, but very good gains high in the powerband (6k+).
Seems like opposite results, but maybe more testing is needed

But yes, this is an interesting and perplexing comparison.
On a NA REVUP engine, the Cosworth looks somewhat like a MREV/spacer setup. The Cosworth made good midrange gains and dropped off slightly at the high end. ...this comparison makes the Cosworth look like a lower frequency tune plenum.
On a FI NON-REVUP engine, the Cosworth looks somewhat like a REVUP lower plenum?... It lost midrange gains and made good gains at the high end. ...this comparison makes the Cosworth look like a higher frequency tuned plenum.
So far, the data seems contradictory, but it may not be contraditory at all. When working from the established paradigme of what we already know about intake plenum mods, trends and performance, this new Cosworth may not be in the same universe of plenum performance rules. It may have its own set of rules.
A lot more testing may be needed to really know what the Cosworth plenum is all about.

Bought from Adam @ Z-1. . .I can't really do a before/after dyno because my engine for the 240 is getting built and I do not have a base dyno for the G. . .I'll see if I can grab someone in Edmonton that's willing to let me to a comparison on their Z/G. . .
^Gotcha. Mine arrives from ip today, install wed. And then to the same dyno that I ran with all my mods including mrev2,5/16 spacer. I'm interested to see how the cos stacks up to the proven MD combo on revup na's. Ill post my results here.
