Default Anyone know what exhaust this is, and if it's a single or dual?

all I know is it's a tanabe exhaust... this is on a 03...like i dunno if I'm missing the other side or whatnot, but the guy that gave me the car didn't give me the engine, manifolds, or y pipe so I wouldn't know... thanks

here's some pics...

it could be missing the other side... I have no manifolds, no test/catpipes, no y-pipe...

obviously the one above is the single tanabe exhaust. it comes in both dual and single for our Z. The dual has a muffler section and really sounds good in person. I haven't heard the single but would imagine it is much louder just like all single exhausts.

I only read the first post in the thread he linked. From what I get since he has no motor or anything his exhaust isn't really running to anything, so he isn't sure if there is another pipe/muffler for the other side or if it's just a straight up single exhaust.

That should be the one on your car (Single). I have the Hyper Medallion (Dual) and as someone said before it sounds great. Here's a link to the one I have.

What's in in the trunk? A dead boddy?

to the op, ditch the exhaust and get something new and complete to compliment your engine build.

they sound horrendous in single or dual configuration (I had the dual muffler on my car for less than a day back in 2003 since it was given to me for free). Even 'free', I had to remove it...sounded absolutely awful

Your friend is probably right. From the above pic it looks like he has a turbonetics downpipe in there. The exhaust would normally bolt up behind a y-pipe.
