Default 02 sensor problem.

The other day I heard a loud metal clack underneath the car driving home from work so I pulled over immedietly and looked under the car. I saw one of the 02 sensor wires dangling and a big hole in my test pipe. Luckily, i pulled over as soon as i heard it blow off and was able to locate the 02 sensor 20 feet behind my car. I tied the wires up so they would dangle but it looks like my o2 sensor is done for. Im replacing the test pipes but my check engine light will still be on because one of the o2 sensors isnt in place.
my questions are...

1. Can i salvage the 02 sensor even though the wires are cut almost to the bottom? (pictures attached)
2. Where and how much would it cost to buy a new 02 sensor?
3. Is there anway i could get my CEL to go off without replacing the one o2 sensor?

alright here is an O2 question for you guys, I changed all my sensors, all except bank at the cat were nissan sensors, that last one is a bosch, so my car still is running shitty so I take it to nissan, I changed all of them my self, so they tell me that the bank one on the header is bad, and say they want like 200 to change it and its an hour and a half labor, I said f that I did it and the car was fine the light went off, but a week later it goes back on says that sensor is bad again but it was running fine, so i erased the code. no problems for 2 weeks now, then the code is thrown again and 2 days later turns off, the idle randomly drops but my a/f says Im at like 14.7 so I dont get it any advice.

There is little point in trying to piece together a oxygen sensor. Get a new one.

Go to racepages.com and get the Bosch O2 sensor. It's cheaper and better than the OEM ones. I got my cat O2 sensors shipped for $105 each.

ENGINE COULD BE RUNNING TO HOT. JUST BECAUSE YOUR AT THE OPTIMAL VE FOR POWER ON THAT ENGINE IT MIGHT BE A BIT TOO LEAN AND RUNNING HOT. O2 SENSORS ARE HEAT ACTIVATED . THINK OF THE O2 SENSOR AS AN AIR BATTERY. WHEN THE AIR HITS A CERTAIN TEMP IT RECTS WITH THE METAL AND THAT SENDS A SIGNAL TO THE ECU DEPENDING ON THE AIR CONTENT. LIKE I SAID THEY ARE HEAT SENSITIVE SO IF YOUR CAR IS RUNNING TO LEAN THAT MEANS ITS GOING TO RUN HOT TOO THIS WILL CAUSE O2 SENSORS TO GO BAD . SOME TIMES ATTEMPTING TO RUN AT VE ISNT SUCH A GOOD THING ON THE VQ35DE B/C THEY COME FROM THE FACTORY LEAN. TRY RICHENING UP THE A/F RATIO YOU SHOULD HAVE A BETTER CHANCE AT BURNING MORE AIR MOLECULES PER GAS MOLECULE. AND IT WONT RUN AS HOT IN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER WHICH IN TURN WILL NOT BE AS HOT IN YOUR TEST PIPES AND WILL KEEP THE O2 SENSOR FROM BURNING UP. AND VISA VERSA IF ITS TO RICH THEN YOU WILL CLOG UP THE 02 SENSOR FASTER AND THIS WILL CAUSE IT TO READ INACURATE AND CAUSE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO ACTIVATE.

Also If Your Running High Flow Cats Or Test Pipes There Is A Thing Called Emissions Regulations And If Its Not Reduceing The Emissions Good Enough Your Check Engine Light Will Come On To For O2 Sensor At Cat. B/c That O2 Sensors Measures The Efficacy Of The Cat To See If Its Doing A Job A Reducing Emissions. Also Stock O2 Sensors Arent Very Accurate If You Can Find The Right Wideband O2 Sensor You Will Better Be Able To Tune Your Engine. But You Cant Just Plug And Play A Wide Band O2 Sensor Into A Factory Ems B/c The Factory Wont Recognize It You Have To Fine One That Will Plug Into A Piggy Back Or A Standalone.

That's one of the joys of using the spark plug non-fouler fixes. The OEM bung location points down just slightly. It's fine with the stock O2 sensors and cats, but as you stack the non-foulers on top of the OEM location, the O2 sensor & wire harness gets lower and lower. The results is what you see in the picture. You snagged something and ripped it out.

There was one guy who ripped out his bung on a titanium exhaust (S2000 owner using a header back exhaust). Good luck to him getting that one fixed....

My "SES" light recently came on aswell when i took it to the dealership they said it was running lean but currently passed all the tests and suggested replacing an O2 sensor, is this truly the culprit or could it just need a tune? I have an upgraded intake almost a full cold air but not truly does the ECU automatically compensate for this? Lastly how do you change the A/F to be richer?
