Question K&N filters in 2007 350z

Can anyone tell me if it is worth replacing stock air filters with K&N and keep on using the stock intakes ?? Will I notice any difference ??

I would venture a guess that it's going to be better than stock. K&N almost always improves on performance and the sound improves as well. Just give it a go and if you don't like it, sell them here. I'd bet you could sell them in less than an hour here. Don't be looking for crazy HP gains though. 1-2 more is probably a safe bet?

That is a silly question. Of course you will not feel any difference. If anybody tells you otherwise, he is lying through his teeth.

Will you feel a diff?? No. Will there be a diff. Yes.. You would get 1hp or 2.. Not enough to feel. You will definatly get better airflow in an intake system that is reccomended not to be replaced by aftermarket.. May make it sound a bit better. But for 40 dollars a filter can you really go wrong?? It's def better to upgrade the filter on a great setup.

And by the way, the 1-2HP will most likely be at high RPMs, so the overall benefit is not worth it, because aftermarket filters do NOT filter as well as the OEM, with very few exceptions.

Its a tough call. Keep in mind the Nismo 350z comes with oem paper filters. I use K&N because its not unsafe...

Its worth it. I have them, its worth it cause later on you'll have to replace them anyway let alone every year or two. With the K&N's, I pop them out, use the cleaning kit and pop them back in.

You wont notice anything really different. I dunno if I notice a little more pep or just my imagination. Likely my imagination.
The ease of cleaning them is nice though. With the ducts we have, they get dirty fasssst

Yes, of course.....which site though.

Probably a silly question, but do you have to purchase two, or are two filters already included in the price?

I'm pretty sure for the HR's almost all aftermarket intakes either show no difference, or a loss of hp. keep it stock and change the filters if you want the sound.

Check this site, they have a few options for filters.

Along with K&N, they carry AFE, True Flow and a few others. I'd probably go with AFE out of those choices.

BTW, I emailed AFE about being a test car for an HR intake, but they never got back to me.
