get resonated test pipes. non-resonated will have increased rasp.
i believe the guys over at fast intentions designed the labrees.
and what do you know... i have a set of labrees for sale!

the helix sound great, but there is rasp between 3&4k after that it just amplified stock, really nice. You gotta used to the rasp though, but after you feel the nice performance boost from stock, the rasp is just secondary

to be honest all test pipes will have a little rasp i have invidia unresonated and i love them. I paid 100 bucks for them vs. 500 for hfc's or fast intentions.

^thats what im starting to think, are there any out there that are not quite as expensive as the Fast intentions or should i just stick with them?

if your Z is a 2006+, test pipes are a very very bad idea...you will have to get HFC's, otherwise the Berk are very good quality and you wont have the problems cheaper test pipes cause, like a rasp when letting off the throttle

gives exhaust a deeper tone a less rasp

as far as test pipe installation is concerned, what is the defoulers i have read about, im almost certain i will need a pair for when i install my helix tp's so my o2 sensor doesnt go crazy. anyone know where to get them? im not sure if i need ones specific to the helix pipes or any ones will do just fine?
